PEEK is a semi-crystalline high temp thermoplastic that offers engineers
a truly unique combination of exceptional performance characteristics.
When compared with other engineering polymers, this material
ranks as the best or nearly the best in every performance category.
PEEK has a continuous use temperature of 480°F and has a UL 94
flammability rating of V-0, with very low levels of smoke generation
and toxic gas emission. PEEK has excellent electrical properties, which
remain stable over a wide range of both temperatures and frequencies. |

Glass Filled Peek |
|
|
|
|
• Cont. Service Temperature 480 F
• Higher tensile strength and rigidity
• Increased Compressive strength
• Excellent electrical properties
• Low deformation under load
• Tubular bar up to 36 inch OD
• Rods up to 6” Dia & Plate up to 4” |
|
Glass Filled PEEK is a glass fiber reinforced PEEK
(polyetheretherketone) material. It exhibits higher modulus than Virgin
PEEK, thus offering more resistance to deformation under load at
elevated temperatures. This material is an ideal candidate for many
structural component applications carrying high static loads. Glass
Filled PEEK is ideal for structural applications that require improved
strength, stiffness or stability, especially at temperatures above 300 F. |
|
Carbon Filled Peek |
|
|
|
|
• Cont. Service Temperature 480 F • Carbon Fiber Filled • Improved Compressive Strength • Enhanced bearing and wear • Increased thermal conductivity • Tubular bar up to 36 inch OD • Rods up to 6” Dia & Plate up to 4” |
|
30% CARBON FIBER-REINFORCED PEEK The addition of carbon
fibers enhances the compressive strength and stiffness of PEEK, and
dramatically lowers its expansion rate. It offers designers optimum
wear resistance and load carrying capability in a PEEK-based product.
Carbon Filled PEEK provides more thermal conductivity than unreinforced
PEEK–– increasing heat dissipation from bearing surfaces improving
bearing life and capability. |

Bearing Grade Peek |
|
|
|
|
• Cont. Service Temperature 480 F
• Requires no external lubrication
• Good in wet applications
• Limiting PV value up to 30,000
• Available extruded and molded
• Tubular bar up to 36 inch OD
• Rods up to 6” Dia & Plate up to 4” |
|
Our Bearing Grade PEEK is an industry standard bearing grade PEEK
reinforced with 10% carbon fibers, 10% Graphite and 10% Teflon.
Bearing Grade PEEK offers a low coefficient of friction and excellent
machinability as compared to our 5025 PEEK. An excellent combination
of low friction, low wear, limiting PV of 30,000, low mating part wear
and easy machining, make it ideal for high temperature bearings.
Where this grade of PEEK is less expensive than our 5025 and is easier
to machine, our 5025 will outperform the standard grade four fold. |

Bearing Grade Peek 5025 |
|
|
|
|
• Cont. Service Temperature 480 F
• Requires no external lubrication
• Outstanding in wet applications
• Limiting PV value up to 120,000
• Now available extruded and molded
• Tubular bar up to 36 inch OD
• Rods up to 6” Dia & Plate up to 4” |
|
Bearing Grade PEEK 5025 is a proprietary, bearing grade PEEK, reinforced
with carbon fibers and internally lubricated with different proprietary
lubricants to improve dry running capabilities. It’s extremely
low wear rate, along with low coefficient of thermal expansion make
this material an ideal candidate for replacing metal wear components.
PEEK 5025 exhibits a Limiting P-V value higher than 120,000 without
any external lubrication and it consistently outperforms other bearing
grade PEEKs in a wide range of applications. |
